When Reagan Bonnette turned 40, she was halfway across the world, celebrating in Bali with her husband. Meanwhile, back home in South Carolina, Hurricane Helene was making landfall—unleashing devastation unlike anything her community had ever seen. Reagan runs a small, independent, family-owned business—Stringer Oil & LP Gas. She showed up for her community when the system told her she couldn’t.

Amid the hurricane season, resilience & collaboration shine as communities & the propane industry unite to meet urgent needs & rebuild lives.

Local residents and businesses of western North Carolina banded together to provide relief to the community through efforts related to propane needs following recent challenges faced in the region. Initiated by Jessica Thompson in a private Facebook group and spearheaded by Reagan Bonnette, president of Stringer Oil & LP Gas, this grassroots effort has garnered overwhelming support from various stakeholders.
